Played hookie from work yesterday afternoon and went to the Cubs game with some good friends and had a fabulous time! Our seats ROCKED! 10th row behind the Cubs dugout and in the sun until the 3rd inning. Apparently, Matt Damon and Andy Garcia were rumored to be at the game. Unfortunately, we did not bump into them. Now THAT would have been the icing on the cake!

Every morning on my way to work, I see an older lady (the kind that wear a scarf on their head to protect their hairdo) walking a beagle and as this would not usually be newsworthy, it has become an important part of my day. I actually look forward to seeing them, as it always seems to make me smile. He walks at her slow pace and looks up at her "smiling." The thought of that dog being her companion and probably her best friend makes my day. This reminds me that we all walk around this Earth every day and have no idea how many people we might be affecting, whether good or bad.

I'm just dreading the day I don't see them walking.......
